Zeljko Ivelic

Zeljko Ivelic brings an abundance of litigation and collection experience to Shifrin Legal. Zeljko – pronounced “ZHel-ko” or more affectionately referred to as “Z” by friends and colleagues, possesses over 17 years of legal experience in the collection industry. 

Zeljko’s tenacity and perseverance powered his ascent from paralegal to law student to litigation attorney. Zeljko attended law school at night and on weekends while working full time as a paralegal to put himself through law school. A native of the Chicagoland area, he grew up in the northwest suburbs before attending DePaul University for college and graduating with a law degree from UIC Law School, formerly known as The John Marshall Law School.

When providing legal services, Zeljko effortlessly establishes a strong rapport with firm clients – a trait that carries over into the courtroom. Judges and even adversaries treat Zeljko with professionalism and respect. His organization, punctuality, attention to detail, and knowledge in and around the courtroom help Shifrin Legal clients achieve their objectives quickly and efficiently. 

Zeljko has been admitted to practice law before the Illinois Creditor Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
